Happy Mother's Day & a card!

Happy Mother's Day everyone! I had a very busy day, yard work, house work, cooking....etc. Now I know that today is the day for rest and relaxation! HA!! Not so here. My husband had rotator cuff surgury on Friday, so I have been busy being a nurse, and yard man....  Oh well, all I can, glad it's not me! I can't sit for long periods, let alone do absolute nothing for 6 weeks! No thanks, I'll do the work instead, thank you very much!
He was such a sweetheart, he even let me entertain the ladies with a Workshop yesterday. Thank goodness he has his TV and recliner setup downstairs. This is the second shoulder surgery in a year and a half. He is a trooper. On the way into the city, we were kinda laughing about or 25th Wedding Anniversary coming up this summer. He has had more than his far share of health related set backs, ok "lots", and I do mean lots in the last 20 years. Anyhow, he said, if I (me) would have known what I was getting myself into, I probably would have turned around and run out of the church! It hasn't been easy, but really, nothing is right!??! We have 2 beautiful children and can still laugh about everything! So there!
Here is the 3rd card we made on Saturday. I again cased a similar card from Robin Hynes, I changed up a couple of things, the ladies really liked this card, and again.... lots of punching!

Saturday Workshop Card #1 & 2

Hi Everyone! I thought I would share the cards we made at todays workshop. I had 5 ladies over, and we made cards...... Lots of punching!! All 3 cards kept them very busy! The first card we made was cased from Tracey Peters, a fellow SU Demo! This card could be very vesatile just by changing up the stamp used on the front. Some choose the saying from the Just Believe stamp set while others used Sincere Salutaions, a stamp set that, sad to say, is retiring at the end of the month.

Just Believe

Stamp: Just Believe
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red
DSP: Paisly Petals
Ink: Black Stazon, Old Olive
Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Baic Pearls, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Snail, Dimentionals, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Square Punches, Scallop Border Punch
This card actually comes together quite quickly, I can see myself making a few multiples of this card, using different sayings.
Our second card, was the card I shared during our May Blog Hop! Check out my May 8th posting for the recipe. Here is the card again. Great for Father's Day, or Birthday!

Open Sea

Stop back tomorrow, and I will share the 3rd card we made! I love it because it is so bright and cheery!
Thanks for looking!

So, I thought by changing up the colors, it wasn't really 6 of the same! I cased an earlier card we made last weekend at our workshop and made it into a 3x3. I love how they turned out and the "blue" flowers turned out to be my favorite ones.

May Blog Hop! Masculine Cards!

Welcome to our monthly Hoppers Blog Hop! I am so excited, because we are featuring Masculine Cards! Now I have to tell you, I only own 1 masculine stamp, but I do love "Open Sea". So that is the stamp I am featuring this month. I really had to think outside the box, which is a good thing! Masculine cards are just as important as all the other cards we make, we just don't make as many.
I am really looking forward to the new Cataloge coming out June 1st, I need more guy stamps!
Here's my card, hope you like it. Please leave a comment below!
