Blogging Friends Blog Hop February 2018!

Hello! And welcome to another fabulous Blogging Friends Blog Hop!
This month is starting off in the deep freeze here in Canada! Enough is enough! I am not one of the lucky ones who gets to jet away to a nice warm location, but instead I get to hunker down in my craft room and stamp my little heart out and make my own kinda fun.
This months Theme is RED. I had fun playing around with a new to me technique, Color Blending.  Here are how the 2 card fronts turned out.

Color Blending uses re-inkers and a Wink of Stella Pen on a Silicone Mat, and a Spriter filled with Rubbing Alcohol.
Just add droplets of your color choices onto the mat, spritz with alcohol in an SU Spritzer. Lay down your Glossy Cardstock, shiny side down and press into the mat.
The card above on the right is the first card front and the left was the leftover ink and is my favorite. It didn't photograph well, but the Wink of Stella mixed with the ink just sparkles! I used Melon Mambo & Crushed Curry Ink.

I finished off the one card with a hand stitched heart using the Gold Thread, Gold Sequin Ribbon and more Gold Thread, and I finally had to call it done! I will finish the second card for my Swap Sister, and spread the love!

My Second card uses the Barn Door Bundle, my favorite set from the New Occassions Catty. Love the little Piggy hiding behind the door. Oink!

This card is so easy to assemble and I will be teaching a class on this next week.

Stamps: Barn Door, This Little Piggy
Cardstock & Ink: Cherry Cobbler,Basic Black,Whisper White,Crumb Cake, Real Red, Blushing Bride
Sliding Door Framelit Dies, Big Shot, Foam Adhesive Strips, Mini Dimentionals, Tombow, #6 Washers

That technique looks really fun and I LOVE red for the barn door! Great ideas :)

OH my gosh! I LOVE that barn door in Red! I don't think I have seen that before - and the little piggy inside is SO cute! I wish I had that bundle to play with right now to CASE this. I also love the background you created for your first card. It sounds like a fun technique to try. Thank you for sharing!

Nicely done! I love techniques like that where each card will look so differently. And who doesn't love the little pig! Super cute!
