Super Cool!

Now onto a card for Mailable Monday!
This card was made using the Re-inker and Rubbing Alcohol Technique!
I used the Berry Burst and Powder Pink Inks. It didn't give as much contrast as I was hoping for, but I do like how it turned out.

I taught the ladies at our Downline Meeting last month on how to do this. They all had fun and very inky fingers !

They gladly posed for a picture. Leanne made the "Hugs" card for her daughter! So cool!
I will teach this cool technique in the up coming weeks so please check my Calander for times and dates.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous day.

Happy Golden Anniversary

I hoped you had a fantastic Canada Day celebration yesterday! The firework display last night was awesome, we sat on our front driveway and the show was right across the street! Can't get much closer than that!
Last night we were invited to our friend's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Wow! 50 years is an amazing milestone so I had to make an extra special card for the happy couple.

Lots of golden touches!
Stamps: Awesomely Artistic,Beautiful Bouquet
Cardstock & Ink: Archival Black,Whisper White,Gold Foil,
Gold Thread,Stitched Framelits,Scalloped Ovals Framelits,Clear & Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,Big Shot

I really am pleased with how this turned out! I hand stitched the greeting on the front and it really adds a special touch.
Thanks so much for stopping by. check back tomorrow for Mailable Monday!

Blogging Friends Blog Hop July 1st!

Hello and welcome to another fabulous Blog Hop! If you are joining me from Leanne's Blog , you are now in Canada!
Happy 150th Birthday Canada, and thank you for sharing this special day with us! What a milestone for this awesome country we live in! Also a shout out to all my American friends who will be celebrating the 4th of July! Happy Birthday to you to.
Todays theme is Water Coloring and I am so excited to be sharing this first card in honour of Canada's 150th Birthday Celebration.
True North Strong & Free

Stamps: Colorful Seasons,Labeller
Cardstock & Ink: Whisper White,Watercolor Cardstock,Real Red,Archival Black,Cherry Cobbler,Crumb Cake
Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies,Big Shot,Watercolor Brush,Spritzer
I inked up the Maple Leaf Stamp with Real Red, Spritzed it with water and stamped on the Watercolor Paper. It gives the leaf a mottled look. I finished it of with full strength Real Red with the vein stamp. My favorite is after I water colored the chair, I stamped the small Maple Leaf on it!
Next: I saw a cheat using this Labeller stamp set. Ink up the whole set leaving it all mounted on the clear window sheet it comes on, turn it over and press them all down on the Whisper White Cardstock! Cut out the letters you need save the sheet of the unused letters for later use, what a great idea! Now why didn't I think of that! Just remember to really ink them up good, then just go back in with a black marker and fill the letters in if needed.

This second card is my absolute favorite. Although it is not a water color technique, it is an Rubbing Alcohol & Ink Technique!

This reminded me of a sunset and looks incredible. Add drops of Re-inker of your color choice onto Glossy Cardstock. Spray directly over top with the Rubbing Alcohol. Add more as you like. I turned my paper to have it run and that's how I got the look of the sunset! In my eyes anyway. The Glossy paper also heat embosses beautifully, I was a little scared but it melts like butter.

Stamps: Wood Words, Colorful Seasons
Cardstock & Ink: Glossy White,Whisper White,Berry Burst,Versamark,Pumpkin Pie,Daffodil Delight,Melon Mambo
White embossing powder, Heat Tool,SU Spray Tube, Rubbing Alcohol

That is it for today friends! Have a fabulous holiday and please feel free to leave a comment at the bottom before you continue on to Mary Ann's Blog!
