Leadership 2014

I'm back from Leadership 2014, and have to say it was another great Stampin Up! event.  Lots of great tips, tricks and ideas, along with catching up with friends and making new friends.  For the first time this year I took along some 3D swaps, so I have lots of cute ideas to share with you in upcoming classes.  For today I want to share the 3D swap I took.  I used the fun envelope punch board to create a little box.  I decorated it with a punch art turtle, and filled it with - - wait for it - - a chocolate turtle!!!

Isn't it cute?  It was such fun to make these, and you get a sneak peak at one of the great Sale-a-Bration (SAB) items too.  The Decorative Dots embossing folder was perfect for creating the turtle back.

Candy Cane Gift Card Pocket

Here is a cute way to give a gift card, packaged with a couple candy canes.  To make this I used the fantastic envelope punch board.  It is so much fun!!
Start with a 6 x 6 piece of Designer Series Paper, and follow the instructions on the punch board for the 3 x 4 envelope.  Your first 'punch and score' is at 2 5/8.  After that, without turning you paper, move it 1/4 inch to the left and score again, but do not punch a second time.  Turn your paper 1/4 turn counter-clockwise, and line up with the inside line.  Punch and score.  Move your paper 1/4 inch to the left and score again, but do not punch.  Turn paper and repeat once more, so you have punched and scored on three sides.  Fold up and glue the three scored sides.  Decorate as desired.  These have a ribbon at the top so you can hang them on the tree.  Quick and easy!!  Have fun.

These little guys are sooooo cute!!!

Here is another quick project.  I stamped the image from the Best of Snow set (134387-c) in black stazon ink (101406), coloured with Stampin Write markers, and sponged the edges.  I punched out the image and a piece of DSP with the 2 1/2" circle punch (120906), glued a ribbon to the back circle and then glued a mint patty between the two circles.  Cute and quick to make.

Quick Christmas Project

Here is the first project I promised to post this week. I dipped red licorice in candy melts and then rolled them in Christmas sprinkles. Put them in candy tubes and decorate. I used some Christmas stamps from Tags 4 You (131820 w/131823c) Santa's List (131808 w/131811 c) and Best of Snow (134387 c) and punched them with the Label Bracket Punch (132153) and the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle (118874). These are great to share with your kids friends!!

I love my job

Seven years ago I started my first dream job, and as of October 2013 I have started my 2nd dream job.  I am now a full time Stampin Up Demonstrator, and I'm lovin it.
Imagine doing something you love every day.
Imagine never dreading Monday.
Imagine helping other realise their dreams, whether it be to learn a new craft and hobby, get a discount on all their papercrafting supplies, add a little extra to the family income through part time work, or start their own full time business as I am.
This is my dream, and now I am living it.
Have a fantastic day everyone.
Connie

All work and no play is bad, making cards is good

My neighbours and I had a garage sale today.  It's done now, so I'm relaxing and puttering in my stamping room.  This is a great colour combination and one of my favs.  I used Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Smoky Slate and Very Vanilla.  To see one of they cards, check out the project section.
