Here are the final Lattice Die projects that I have to share -
Very simple card. The lattice piece is done on textured cardstock, so that it sticks out from the regular cardstock card base.
This is a votive holder made from black cardstock and vellum. CASED from Jen Sannes.
Here's how it looks in the dark!
I previously posted some of the projects we would be making at the Lattice Die class I recently held. Here are some more that we made that night -
I really like how the lattice die can be cut into this cross shape. This card was CASED from Debbie Currier.
A simple, but stunning card. CASED from Angela McKay.
Two lattice dies cut out make the background of this card.
I forgot to show you the awesome birthday card that I received from Stampin' Up! this month. It was made using the My Digital Studio digital scrapbooking software.
And it had a special birthday discount inside!
Also . . . I am surprisingly still pregnant! All my other children were born by this day in my pregnancy and the doctors have told me that with each pregnancy, the baby is usually born earlier and earlier. So, I had fully expected to have had the baby by now. Of course, you never can tell though! I'll keep you posted!
We took a trip to the Brookfield Zoo a couple weekends ago. The weather was perfect and my mom came up to go with us. We had a great time! Here are some favorite pictures from the day -
The Hamill Family Play Zoo had a room where the kids could pretend to be veterinarians. There were tons of stuffed animals with cages and vet tools they could use. You can see that Miss Elysia also got some face painting done here.
Because it was the Play Zoo's anniversary that weekend, there were lots of extra activities going on. There were some fun kids' concerts going on in the park area. Here's my little dude hanging out on the grass during one concert.
While at the Petting Zoo, we came across a demonstration about grooming donkeys. Aria was thrilled to be chosen as a volunteer to brush the donkey!
And here's SuperDad (not looking so super) during a kids' concert! The poor guy was just beat I guess! :)
Here are some card samples that use Designer Series Papers that will soon be retiring.
This pretty card uses the DSP called "Lap of Luxury". It has my favorite In Color - Concord Crush. I'm so glad that In Colors hang around for 2 years now, so I still get another year with this one!
This simple little notecard uses a strip of the "Sweet & Sour Specialty" DSP. The glossy texture adds a neat touch.
I loved this at Halloween! It uses the super cool flocked DSP called "Wicked Fun Specialty".
It showed up officially on my demonstrator reports this week - I did earn the Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Disney World! Those who know me well, know how much I wanted to earn this trip for my family. Who knows if we could ever afford to do this trip normally without Stampin' Up!, so I made it my goal for the year.
They announced this trip when we were on last year's cruise to the Southern Caribbean. I had my fingers crossed, hoping they would say it was Disney World. And when Stampin' Up's cofounder and CEO, Shelli Gardner, pulled out Minnie ears and put them on, I cried! I was so excited and immediately told the kids "We're going to Disney!" Well, that was some major motivation - I had to do it! How could I tell them, "Mommy lied - I really didn't earn it after all!" :)
So, it was very exciting to show them the card below to break the good news and teach them that hard work does pay off! They will be at the perfect age next spring, when the trip occurs. It is the week of all three of their birthdays, so they will be 3, 5, and 7! How fun! And not just Disney World, but Disney World being spoiled by Stampin' Up!
So, here is a card to share the news with the kids and it's also a card "just for you". My customers and friends who have supported me this year, either with your encouragement or involvement in my business and events. I appreciate each and every one of you!
CASED from Linda Aarhus
CASED from Debbie Currier. Two fabulous products on this card are retiring - the Extreme Dirt Bike stamp and the Star Punch.
CASED from Julie Davison. Just Buzzin' By was a stamp set that I just HAD to have when it came out. Now, it's retiring. Check out the cool inside of this card -
When you open the card, the adorable little bees "pop up" at you!
In honor of Father's Day, here's a great "guy" card that uses the Nautical themed stamp set, designer series paper, and baker's twine from the Summer Mini catalog.
CASED from Angela McKay
Also in honor of Father's Day, here's some fun pictures of SuperDad and the kids. He recently hung a rope in one of our trees and they have had such fun swinging on it. My neighbor told me it's the envy of the neighborhood! :)
Love Rollie's face in this one! Doesn't he just look full of mischief?
Aria calls it "the big swing".
Elysia has no fear!
