Two really great dies were included in the Occasions Mini Catalog. One of them being the Petal Cone Die, which I've shown you many times in samples, and the other was the Fun Flowers Die. Here's one more Petal Cone sample for you to see and a couple great projects that use the Fun Flowers Die.
This was a favorite project at my Big Shot class. It was CASED from Dawn Olchefske and uses the fun Eat Chocolate stamp set from the mini catalog too.
This is a little candy favor made with the Fun Flowers Die. The flower "stem" is a Tootsie Pop stick! This was CASED from Lorrie Heiling.
I absolutely loved this card using the Fun Flowers die and the Love Letters Designer Series paper. This was CASED from Becky Roberts.
Take a Spin, Eat Chocolate, and Create a Cupcake are all fun, fun stamp sets in the Occasions Mini catalog that ends on Saturday. Here are some cards made with each, that we did at the Breast Cancer Fundraiser-
Take a Spin with the coordinating Game Spinners - CASED from Kay Kalthoff
Eat Chocolate - CASED from Julie Davison
Create a Cupcake - CASED from Jen Sannes
As many of you know, all 3 of my children have their birthday this week. Roland and Elysia's birthday was today and Aria's is on Sunday. Saturday will be our big family/friends party for all 3 combined. So . . . we basically celebrate all week!
Roland and Elysia opened presents this morning and we baked cupcakes so we could sing to them and let them blow out candles at lunchtime. Here's Roland with his new spurs and handcuffs that he was madly in love with!
After Aria went to school, we took Roland and Elysia to a fun place here in Plainfield called GymQuest. It is a gym where dance and gymnastics classes are taught. They also have Open Gym times though where anyone can come and play on the equipment and the bouncy things they have blown up. Here they are enjoying that. Roland REALLY loved it! A little boys dream - running and jumping, over and over! :)
You just run and jump into this pit of spongy cubes! Or drop down into it from rope swings or balance beams.
Cupcake was so brave!
Love the smile on that handsome face!
Elysia calls a cowboy hat a "yeehaw". So, she kept saying, "Mine yeehaw" and reaching for her hat!
This week I am going to continue showing pics of projects that use items from the Occasions Mini catalog. This catalog was definitely one of my favorites ever and it's going away after Saturday, so if you're in love with any of these items, place your order quickly!
The flower adornments were a product that I did not see much use for until recently. Boy, did I miss out on that one! They are gor-ge-ous! Wish I would have used them earlier! Check them out below -
They just add such a pretty touch to these cards. This card was CASED from Shelli Gardner and Dawn Griffith. It is filled with products from the Occasions Mini catalog - the Easter Blossoms stamp set, the Springtime Vintage Designer Paper, the Crumb Cake Seam Binding, and the Adornments. You can't see it in the picture, but we also spritzed this card all over with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with rubbing alcohol. Wowza - that sparkle is simply beautiful!
This pretty favor was CASED from Becky Roberts. It uses the Scallop Square die, the Love Letter Designer Paper, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Define Your Life stamp set, and the vanilla flower from the Adornment pack.
Here's another item that I'm hoping gets carried over to the big catalog from the Occasions Mini catalog. Glitter paper! I love that you can run it through the Big Shot or punch it out. And you get all the sparkle of glitter without the mess! I'm actually hoping that they offer it in multiple colors. How fun would that be?!
CASED from Andrea Walford
In my last post, I talked about how darling I've found the Sew Suite line of products with the matching stamp sets, fabric, designer papers, etc. I just had to share this amazing bag that my uppity-uppity-upline, Glenda, made for me. It uses the fabric that is in this coordinating line of products. Glenda also used the scallop square die for the Big Shot to cut the fabric.
Glenda made these bags for each one of us (in her group called Stampers In Stitches) who attended Leadership in Nashville. We were the envy of everyone else there! She had filled these with snacks and treats for us. The wrapped candy bar below was one of the treats! It goes perfectly with the bag since it is wrapped in the matching designer paper.
As someone who can't even sew a button on a shirt, I am surprised by how stinkin' cute I've found the Sew Suite line of products in the Occasions Mini catalog. I love all of it! The stamp sets, designer paper, matching fabric, etc. There's so much more that I want to do with this set, but it's time is running short. The Occasions Mini ends this month.
This look was achieved by stamping the spools of thread on vanilla cardstock and then again on each of the 4 colors to cut out and layer on the vanilla.
Love the pom pom trim on both of these cards!
This beautifully simple card was done at a lot of my recent events - the breast cancer fundraiser, private workshops, library classes, etc. Very clean and simple! Just stamps, ink, and paper! CASED from Angie Kennedy Juda.
Here's another card using that darling Easter Blossoms stamp set and Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper. This was one of the projects at my Spring Stamp Camp. CASED from Vicki Burdick.
How gorgeous is this?! Uses the Tulip Frame Embossing Folder and Build a Blossom stamp set with coordinating punch. Another Spring Stamp Camp project. A little time consuming to stamp and punch all those flower petals, but SO worth it! CASED from Dawn Olchefske.
I'll be back with the last of the Easter projects in the next day or two!
