Breast Cancer Research Fundraiser

Good morning everyone. Stampin'Up has come up with a beautiful stamp set called Strength and Hope item #118100 wood set for $21.95 or item #123660 in clear for $16.95.. They will donate $2 to Breast Cancer research for every stamp set sold. I am also planning a fund raiser here. You will get to make a stack of different cards using the stamp set. As always, there are options:

1. Make three regular cards and six little ones. Cost of the class if you pre-order the stamp set is  $20 and $10 goes to breast cancer research.(Stampin'Up will also donate $2 when you buy the stamp set)

Without the stamp set class fee is $25 and $12 goes to cancer research.

2. If you like the idea of just doing the mini cards, you can make 6 for $10 and $5 will go to cancer research.

3. You can just order the stamp set Strength and Hope and use my ideas to make your own cards at home. Stampin'Up will donate $2 and I will also.

4. You can just order the single stamp called Ribbon of Hope, item #115552 for $9.95 and I will donate $1 for each stamp purchased.

5. Get a group of your friends together and make as many cards as you want at cost (just buy the paper and card stock from me)and you can sell them as your own fundraiser. For a small fee of $10 you get the use of my stamp room and my ink and stamps. You will have to do your own cutting and measuring- nothing will be pre-cut for you, just so you know :)

Dates for the classes are Monday May 16 in the morning at 9:30 am and Wednesday May 18 at 7pm. Please bring your own adhesive.

Leadership Convention

After my flight was cancelled I decided that the only way I could still go to Leadership Convention was to drive, and I made it through the snowstorm and I'm having a wonderful time. I forgot my camera cord though, so no pictures at this time. My room mate Michelle posted some pictures on my Facebook profile, so you can check them there. I did take a picture of my swap cards so I will see if they are on this computer, then I can share them with you.

Friday Coffee and a Card

We're making a great card today using one of my favourite stamp sets, Take a Sip. I love coffee and tea and the fellowship that goes along with it or the quiet time by yourself with a hot drink. This card has vintage inspired elements. Take the time to look at my calendar as well and book your sale-a-bration workshop today. It is the best time of the year to host or attend a workshop because everyone gets free stuff with a $60 purchase. Here is today's card:

Last Chance to Order Before Christmas

You know that I cannot have a post without a picture, that just wouldn't be right! The primary reason for this post is to let you know that I will be placing an order tonight at 10pm, and as I am an optimist, I am sure it will be here before Christmas. There are still some great deals on the clearance rack, and I think the little design-a-house in the holiday mini is a great craft project to make with your kids over the holidays. The picture I want to share with you is of an old window that I transformed with our  Dasher decor element. When we think of decor elements we think of putting them on the wall, but they can go on any hard surface. Dasher was a hostess gift from last year. If you host a workshop with your friends, you get hostess sets that you cannot buy anywhere, and you can also choose a decor element instead. That is where Dasher came from. I think it looks terrific on the mantel in my stamp room. I hope you are all having fun preparing for Christmas, remember to take some time to relax and ponder the real meaning of Christmas, the Babe in the manger who grew up to be our Saviour, Christ the Lord.

Wonderful Stampin'Up fabric!

You have until January 4 to buy this wonderful designer fabric that matches our paper. You have two designs to choose from Deck the Halls which is very vintage and Candy Cane Christmas which is bright and cheerful. One of my friends and customers bought the Candy Cane fabric and together with her daughter Amelia turned an old pair of jeans into a beautiful skirt using just one pack of fabric. She took advantage of the half price sale at the end of November so it only cost her $6 to make this skirt. Amelia picked out the design herself and did a lot of the sewing too, way to go Amelia!!
