The Diamond Fold and Reverse Diamond Fold Quick and Easy

Here I show you the easy way to score and fold so you get a proper diamond fold with your cardstock.  I shared this at the Spaghetti Factory Meeting in Duarte on September 22.  We scored a little differently but did this to save time.  THE MOST IMPORTANT thing is that you score at 2" and 10" THEN 4" and 8".  Because very time you score, the paper "shrinks".

TIP #7:  Proper order in scoring is essential to the scores linging up which is why you score at 2 and 10 then 4 and 8!

TIP#8:  The tape at the 6" score line helps you to score the line evenly.

Helpful Hint

Save the punch outs from your Doily Punch when you use Silver or Red Gimmer paper for your shaker cards and get a lot of glitz!

Helpful Hint

Did you know you can "color" our Silver Glimmer paper to match your project?  You can use a marker or a dauber and ink pad-give it a try and let me know how you like it!

Helpful Hint

Did you know you can color your pearls and rhinestones to match your color of cardstock??  Just color the pearl or rhinestone with a Sharpie Marker that is as close as possible to the color of cardstock you are using.  Dries instantly.

Make a Shaker Card the EASY Way (without circle scissors)

In this video, Chris demonstrates how to make a shaker card with Stampin' Up! punches and Big Shot dies. If you have trouble using circle scissors, this is a GREAT way to go. This video uses a Christmas or winter themed example and "snow" in the shaker frame. Enjoy!

You need the following to make Shaker Cards without the Circle Scissors:
  • Circles #2 Die (114526)
  • 2 3/8” Scallop Punch (118874)
  • 1 ¾” Scallop Punch (119854
  • 2 ½” Circle Punch (120906)
  • 1 ¾” Circle Punch (119850)
  • 1 3/8” Circle Punch (119860)
  • 1 ¼” Circle Punch (119861)

For 4th Largest Frame:
  • 1 ¾” Scallop Punch for stamped image.
  • 2” Circle from Circles #2 Die for acetate window.
  • 1” Circle Punch for inside ring of card stock then punch with 2 ½” circle to make a ring.
