Brian's Spring One-for-One Card Swap

Hello Friend-o!

One of my favorite blogs to follow is Brian King does a great job over there.  Twice I have participated in his one-for-one swaps (Details for the last one here). The latest swap just arrived in my mailbox yesterday. I LOVE THIS CARD.

Why I love this card. First is the simplicity. How easy is this card to create?  Stamp some big flowers in Melon Mambo, cut one out with a framelit and stamp on a plain strip. What could be easier?

The second reason I love this card is because it is fun to get an envelope with a hand-stamped card, but have no idea where it came from and who it came from until you open it.  This one is from Kate L. in Santa Cruz, CA.

The greatest reason I love this card is because darling Kate sent the following note along with the card. AWESOME! A new generation of stampers is among us! Thanks Kate. (I've blocked out Kate's last name using MDS.)

Enjoy! (I sure did!)

Here's what Kate used:
Stamps: Peaceful Petals (wood $28.95; clear $20.95), Simple Stems (wood $23.95; clear $17.95)
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: Melon Mambo, Pool Party
Extras: Secret Garden Framelits, Candy Dots Brad Bases, Subtles Candy Dots

How cool, 6 years old and already making cards like a pro. Kate's card is just perfect. Love that little blossom with the pretty brad in the center. My favorite is making her own background, Wahoo! I got my swap card yesterday also, so fun.

Your card is absolutely beautiful, agreed, but my favorite part of all is that a happy six year old made this from the heart for you! You are the LUCKIEST swap recipient, I am sure, in my heart!!! How wonderful to have shared this with the world, too! Thanks for doing so! Cheers!! :)

If you get a chance, Brian highlighted Kate's card this morning, what a nice start to show off the swap cards.
